We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations (GDPR/DSGVO) and this privacy policy.
This privacy policy applies to our websites (schlab.de, alivecheck.io, campalert.eu, validate1st.com, and others) and our Shopify Applications (e.g., 3D Print Quote).
3. Hosting & Infrastructure
Static Hosting
Our landing pages are hosted on external providers (e.g., GitHub Pages, Netlify, or Vercel). These providers may process IP addresses to deliver the content. This is necessary for the technical operation of the website (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR).
Application Hosting
Our applications (such as 3D Print Quote) utilize server infrastructure from:
- Supabase (Database & Storage): Used for storing user preferences, organization data, and uploaded files (e.g., STL files). Supabase Inc. is based in the USA but it's servers are located in the EU. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for data transfer validility.
- Hetzner Online GmbH: We use virtual private servers located in Germany for some services.
4. Data Collection in our Shopify Apps
If you install our Shopify App ("3D Print Quote"), we process the following data:
- Shop Information: We store your Shopify domain (`myshopify.com` URL) and shop ID to identify your store and manage your subscription.
- 3D Models (User Content): Files uploaded by your customers (e.g., `.stl` files) are stored in our secure storage buckets (Supabase) to generate price quotes. These files are associated with your organization ID.
- Usage Data: We track the number of quotes generated to enforce plan limits (e.g., Free vs. Pro tier).
Legal Basis: The processing is necessary for the performance of the contract (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR) to provide the app's functionality (generating quotes).
5. Payment Processing
For payments (e.g., app subscriptions), we use:
- Shopify Billing API: Most charges for Shopify Apps are handled directly by Shopify. We do not store your credit card information.
- Stripe: For some standalone services, we may use Stripe. Payment data is processed directly by Stripe; we only receive confirmation of payment.
6. Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how our websites are used. Google Analytics uses "cookies" to analyze your use of the website.
IP Anonymization is activated on this website. Your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software.

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): Correction of inaccurate data.

8. Data Erasure
We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data economy. We only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes stated here or as provided for by the various storage periods provided for by law. After the respective purpose has ceased to exist or these periods have expired, the corresponding data will be blocked or deleted routinely and in accordance with the statutory regulations.
